Growing up in the South, in the one of the poorest states in America, was a very humbling experience. I was the son of a single mother and we were poor. That situation taught me to work hard, always help others and be happy. I was raised in a village setting and learned a lot about morals and values from so many along the way. It was instilled in me to treat everyone the way that they wanted to be treated! It worked for me as a kid and it is still working very well for me today, some forty plus years later.
I have been blessed to experience a lot of life lessons - from my days as a great football player and graduate of UT to the friends that I have meet in my international travels. Each success in my career: a trader in stock market investments to the top financial position in the auto and mortgage industries have taken me to new and improved heights. I believe that each day is a learning opportunity and when I stop learning, I am dying. Failure to me is not an option but the more I fail, the more I learn. Being a husband for more than a decade, a father of four awesome kids, a businessman in multiple professions and most importantly a God fearing man have been the essential building blocks of almost 3 decades of my working experience.
I am not the norm nor do I want to be the norm but instead I strive to be a person different from the normal human being. Therefore, the man I am today and seek to be tomorrow reflects in all facets of my life, especially as a community businessman and as a patriot of this great country.
